Ok,

I'm installing a DBALL onto a 2012 F150 based on the 401.FORD6 1.05
vH00.S00.D09 installation manual from xpresskit located here. On the instructions there is a spot for the door-pin hookup showing the door-pin wire from the vehicle being cut, but connected to two wires on the dball. I'm not sure if this is stating to connect the yellow/red doorpin wire on the dball, and leave the ORANGE / red disconnected, or if I need to connect them both?

Any thoughts? I've attached an image where I circled the spot I'm confused about. Otherwise the rest of this guide is pretty simple to follow. I have referenced the next page of the guide showing "more information" but it only gives the location and color of the door-pin wire for the vehicle, not what to do about the little scissors.

Thanks for any help, image is below:

You need to cut the door pin and connect yellow /red to one side and connect orange /red to other side. THe DBALL is doing this so they radio will shut off if your remote starters times out after remote starting or if you shut the vehicle off via remote starter. Ford door pins rest at ground while doors are closed , and when the door is open it goes to no connection.
