After countless hours of research and time in my car, I am about ready to start wiring in my Viper 5902 into my 96 Honda Prelude. I have the dash pulled out so I can access wires better. After all the research I have done, I still have some questions and want to be sure on everything before I start soldering wires together.

I have typed out all of the alarm wires, but if anyone could confirm them or correct me if I'm wrong on any or unsure about it I would really appreciate it. I apologize in advance for the lengthy post, but I would love any extra help I could get to get this finished.

H1 Harness (12 pin)

*H1/1     RED / white * Not Used
H1/2     red   To gray backup battery wire. Cut 1" before fuse and solder gray wire to it.
H1/3     brown   To Red siren wire
H1/4     WHITE/ brown *?
H1/5     black   Ground
*H1/6     violet   * Not Used
H1/7     blue   To blue Backup Battery wire, and GREEN/ black trunk pin (above hood release, grey 14 pin)
H1/8     green   ??BLACK/ white (14 pin above hood release)
H1/9     BLACK/ white ??
*H1/10     WHITE/ blue * Not Used
H1/11     white   RED / Black by center console
H1/12     orange   ?What all needs to go here?

H2 Harness (18 pin)
I don't think I need any of these wires, unless if I want to wire my stock horn to sound along with the siren.

H2/1     light GREEN/ black
H2/2     ORANGE / black
H2/3     GREEN / WHITE
H2/4     violet/black
H2/5     WHITE/ black
H2/6     WHITE/ violet
H2/7     grey/black
H2/8     BROWN / black
H2/9     violet/white
H2/10     dark blue
H2/11     pink/white
H2/12     orange
H2/13     purple
H2/14     pink
H2/15     grey
H2/16     blue/white
H2/17     brown
H2/18     BLACK/ white

*H3 harness (Remote start)
-NOT USED-

Door Lock (3 pin)
1     Blue   BLACK/ White
*2     Empty   *
3     Green   BLACK/ Red

-For the door lock wires, I *think* I have found the correct wires but not positive. These wires pictured were tapped into from the old alarm, which hopefully confirms they are the right ones. Problem is, when I test it with my voltometer I don't get any results. Could this have anything to do with my dash being out of the car?

Backup Battery
B1     red   Constant 12v at fuse box
B2     grey   Red H1/2 wire (cut H1/2 wire 1" before fuse)
B3     red   Connector
B4     black   Connector
B5     black   Ground
B6     blue   Blue H1/7 wire (use diode)

-I am having a few problems with the suspected wire not doing anything when I test it. This is probably an easy answer, but could I have the right wire, but it's not doing anything because the dash is out, therefore the plugs are not connected?
-H1/4 I don't think this wire needs connected correct?
-H1/8 (and door lock/unlock wire question) This plug I have pictured on the door I am unsure if I can connect any wires to this or not. When testing continuity, the blue/red wire beeps when the door is unlocked. Blue white beeps when locked. WHITE/ red, yellow/red and black all stop beeping while the door is locking or unlocking.

-H1/9 I can't find for sure where I need to go for this wire. I could take it up to the dome light, but there has to be an easier way than routing it up there.
-H1/11 I have found the parking light wire which leads to the harness for the CD player. However, the previous owner did some weird rewiring for the speakers (see pic). This orange wire that leads off of the RED / black parking light wire is cut. If I do a continuity test by touching the voltometer probe to the end of this wire, it shows that it is for the parking lights. Can I tap into this wire?

-H1/12 Is this wire only used if I get other sensors to add onto the alarm?

I have read many places that even though my car didn't have an alarm stock, there should still be an "oem alarm" harness plug (usually green) that has a lot of the wires I need and makes finding wires a lot easier. After much searching, I didn't find this in my car. Otherwise I would use that for a lot of the wires.

Do I have to use any relays or diodes? I have read that with high end DEI alarms you don't have to use any relays, but I'm not sure if this is true or not.

If there is anything else you see that I am leaving out, let me know. Thanks!

H2/9 Needs to go to a TACH source...H2/17 is for Brake shut down...H2/18 to chassis ground if car is automatic

Are you only doing the alarm for this car??

Yes, thank you, I forgot to specify that. My car is a manual so I am not installing the remote start. Do I still need H2/9 and H2/17 even though I'm not doing the remote start?
