Hey I lost the remote for my polar start 5505sh and was wondering if anyone knows if there is a replacement remote floating around out there or if there is a universal one that will work. I really don't want to replace my system

Hate to suggest it after the recent Carvox posting, but have you tried a search on EBay? If you know what you need
and can find the exact same model you should be OK. Most sellers offer a warranty / DOA period and some help with
programming. If you had the old one, there would be a Canadian FCC number on it like 2678 1021 782A that would
ensure a proper match.

Yes I did an extensive ebay search before this but with no luck. :(
