I just got a used viper c-60 alarm and I wanted to test it before installing it.  I hooked up ground to the constant ground and 12v to constant power.  As soon as I do this, the siren wire gets power and I can hear a relay click on and off (I assume the parking lights flashing).  The wire for ground when armed doesn't have ground at any time.  When I use different buttons on the two remotes I have neither effect it.  After about 20-30 seconds the alarm cycles off and I can make it go off again by putting ground to one of the sensor wires.  I tried the valet switch but it didn't seem to change anything.  If this alarm was out of a vehicle for a while, would it have lost it's memory for the remotes to work and do I have to reprogram them?  Putting power to the ignition on wire only makes a relay come on/off and doesn't turn off the alarm either.  Am I doing something wrong? It just doesn't seem to be working quite right.  It was fine when taken out of the vehicle.

Must be an old system as I never heard about a Viper C-60.
If the system was out for 10 years if the reotes were from that system they should still work.
