I have searched here and on google to figure out what the best solution is for the wiring of the 520t backup battery to my viper 5901.

I know there is 4 wires.

Red is 12+ constant with the inline fuse

Gray is 12+ constant OUTPUT to the 5901 module that states it should be fused and says + constant power 12v input

Black to chassis ground

Blue to instant trigger input which is h1/7 on the 5901

I under stand all colors however I am just a little confused on the Gray Wire.

DEI states "Gray(+) 12v output. Connect this wire to the (+) constant power 12v input wire on the control module main harness. Do not connect the 12v in the vehicle. This wire supplies power to the security system.

I looked at the manuals and other forums however I am a bit confused. Some people just hook up the Red and Gray wire together.

What do you suggest? What pin or wire should the Gray wire go to for the 5901 module.

Thanks!

Disconnect the H1/2 Red wire of 5901 from its current 12 volt source and connect it to the Gray wire of the 520t.

Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
