Hey guys, I'm having an issue with an install in an 05 duramax with an
Avital 4103, DBALL. Everything operates appropriately when remote started, except the Service 4wd light on the dash illuminates. This does not come on when the truck is started normally by the key. Also the truck has an edge programmer, and when the truck is in operation, the digital gauge readings tend to fluctuate radically at all times until the DBALL is disconnected from the OBD II wire, or power is removed via the D2D port. I'm not sure this one can be solved entirely, but figured I'd toss it out there.

Has anyone had similar issues?

Check that ignition 2 wire is powered up during crank.

Heavy gauge relay wiring

Should be;

H2/1 PINK should go to pink of your ignition harness.

H2/2 PURPLE should go to yellow of your ignition harness.

H2/3 ORANGE should go to orange of your ignition harness and use a relaynsomthat it ALSO powers brown of your ignition harness.

H2/4 RED should go to either red of your ignition harness. Or to the battery.

H2/5 PINK/WHITE should go to white of your ignition harness.

H2/6 RED shouldmgo to either of the othernred of your ignition harness or to the battery.

End result your truck has two ignitions and two accessories that need to be powered up properly to avoid the light that comes on and somthatbeverythingnfunctions properly.
