Dears,
I have bough python 533 from for my Hyundai Santa Fe 2005 GLS 2.7. I have decided to install it my self as i found no one has clue on how to install it because all installers here are only familiar with Chinese made alarm systems :)
I have read the entire alarm installation manual and have got a wiring diagram for my model but lots of things have confused me like do i should need a relay? if yes how many do i need? also H/11,H12, all connectors of Auxiliary harness (H2), all Remote start ribbon harness connectors and H3/1 wire.
I really appreciate your help specially if someone help by listing all wires for this alarm model so i could review my work.
Thank you very much

Please contribute even with small piece of information. your contribution will help me a lot.
Thanks in advance.

Do you have the wiring diagram for the model of your car or the python model or both? Also what are you trying to accomplish? Lock (arm), Unlock (disarm), Start/Stop?....are you adding anything else to the system?
------------- I drink current, eat ohms, and bleed voltage

Hello pts760,
Yes, I have both wiring diagram for the model of my car and the python model.
I want to accomplish a complete installation of python 533 to my Hyundai santa fe 2005 with all of its features and functions that could fit with my car model but really don't know what can fit and what can't.
I got confusion on the relay required to connect some wires as indicated in the python 533 instillation guide. should i need relays or just connect to the destinations as per my car wiring diagram?
Also, to where should i connect the following from Relay satellite 4-pin connector:
(-) 200mA STATUS OUTPUT wire
(-) 200mA ACCESSORY RELAY TURN ON
(-) 200mA STARTER RELAY TURN ON
(-) 200mA STARTER RELAY TURN ON
(-) 200mA IGNITION RELAY TURN ON
(-) 200mA STATUS OUTPUT / REAR DEFOGGER
also, All Aux wires
- should i install the HOOD PIN SWITCH that comes with the python 533 or the factory one is enough?
- what is the instant trigger? and to were this wire could be connected?
- for ground connections, is there any input wire i shall connect all the ground wires to it? or all should be connected to the factory
bolt?
- in the python 533 installation guide, it warns from disconnecting the battery to savae the car's computer and other electronic circuses, but how can i solder the wires without disconnecting the battery?
- what is the Power Lock and Lock Motor? are both related to the doors?
Thanks in advance

No relays are require for the installation. Just connect to the destinations indicated in your car wiring diagram.
The 200mA negative four pin harness will not be used on this vehicle.
The 200mA status output/ rear defogger can be used to turn the rear defrost on but I'm not 100 percent which wire you would be looking for. I would have to do some testing but someone else on the site may help you with that.
I would use the factory hood pin as long as there is a good ground signal with the hood open otherwise use a aftermarket tilt switch.
What instant trigger are you referring to?
Take all the ground wires along with the BLACK/ white neutral safety input wire (if it's a auto transmission) and ground them to a factory ground bolt or to a bare piece of metal attached to the vehicles frame.
You don't have to dissconnect the battery to do the install. Just be careful when you're tapping into 12v constant wires so you don't short it to ground. You will pop some fuses if you short these wires to ground.
Don't you the lock motor wires. Use power lock (yellow-vehicle) and power unlock (WHITE/ black-vehicle) in the driver's kick panel. Also, use pink/black in the driver's kick panel to disarm the factory alarm. Light GREEN/ Black from the Python will be used to disarm.

Hello pts760,
I really appreciate your help and valuable time giving to this.
- For No relays are require for the installation. does that mean the car it self has the required relays so i shall ignore the request in the installation guide?
- For The 200mA status output/ rear defogger, i shall wait for others who might can help in this. by the way, what is the status output?
- For hood pin,I will use the factory hood pin as per your suggestion. BTW, can i use the factory status LED? i really don't know if my car model has one :) if yes, this could be butter than drilling on the car dash board.
- For, instant trigger, I am referring to the blue wire (H1/7) in the Primary harness (H1), 12-pin connector. ((H1/7 BLUE (-) TRUNK PIN/INSTANT TRIGGER ZONE 1)).
- For, dissconnect the battery to do the install. Just be careful when you're tapping into 12v constant wires so you don't short it to ground. You will pop some fuses if you short these wires to ground. shall i do this step before i ground the wires? how can i ensure no damage to the computer and other electronic parts during the soldering process?
Again Thank you very much

No relays are required because the vehicle's wiring is suitable for the specific wiring with the Python unit. Disregard that section of the install guide. Make sure you use the (-)yellow wire at the parking light switch and make sure you adjust the jumper on the Python unit to (-)light flash.
Status output sends a (-)ignition output when the vehicle is remote started. This is designed to use for a bypass module which your vehicle doesn't have unless it is the Canadian model (has a immobilizer). To test, take some aluminum foil and wrap it around the head of the key a couple times completely covering the head. Then try starting the vehicle with the aluminum foiled key. If the vehicle doesn't start with the foiled key you will need this wire, if it does start than this vehicle doesn't require this wire.
I don't believe that vehicle has a indicator LED but regardless you won't be able to integrate with it if it does.
Take the Blue instant trigger from the Python (this wire tells you the rear hatch is open) and hook it up to:
Trunk/Hatch Pin - BLACK/ orange - dash fuse box, white 15 pin plug (F), pin 5
-This wire will read ground with the rear hatch open.
You don't need to disconnect the battery on that vehicle. Just don't touch 12v constant wires to ground.

Ignore the instant trigger part, that blue wire goes to the hood light trigger but I believe it's linked to the door triggers on the Santa Fe.
You will probably need an immobiliser by-pass if it's a Euro=Spec car.
------------- Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.
