Subject: smartstart quit working

I installed a DSM250 on my truck a few months back and everything has been working flawlessly up until about 2 days ago. I pulled it out of the dash a little bit ago and noticed the amber light keeps blinking and never stops. What could cause this?

I checked it just a second ago and it's been alternatin between a fast blink and a slow blink.  But when I just checked it it was doing 3 quick blinks and then a 4th blink where it holds for a second and then repeats.  I'm not sure if it's still doing that or not though.  But I also just called DEI and they said they're having some sort of issues they are trying to resolve, and I did notice that now as soon as I log in to the SmartStart app it gives me an error message which is what she was referring to.  But I'm not sure if this outage has anything to do with my issue or not.

There was a KNOWN issue with service reception. It was with the cellular connection of the unit. Unplug the unit leave it off for a few minutes. Make sure it has a clear unobstructed connection when plugging it back in and it SHOULD reconnect and function after a few to 20 minutes depending. Many people were having issues so with everyone reconnecting it cased further issues.
