Well I have a 2009 Altima PTS and I have been looking for ages on how to program a new intelli key to the system. The fob is like 30 bucks and the dealer wants like 600$ for a new fob and programming. A local shop wanted 200$ for a used key fob and programming and 100$ for just programming (claiming he can get it done in 5 minutes). Any idea on how the process works?

You cant.

The fob is programmed to the computer of your car with dealer hardware/software unfortunately.

Its NOT like old fords where you stick a key in then another etc to program a new one.
