Maybe-DBALL

Has anyone had any experience with the Fiat 500's with Factory Security? I am scheduled to do one this weekend and want to prepare. From looking at the DBALL install instructions, it recommends not to use the interface with Factory install alarms....so i guess i will be doing this traditional route.

Unless someone has done one with the DBALL

After reviewing the tech sheet can anyone provide me with the Tech Doc 1701 for the Power Lock/Unlock Wires? Need to relay isolate, see Tech Doc 1701)

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Ive done two and had no issues. For the remote start portion though, when you program the db-all you WILL need a key programming code from the dealer. it MAY be on a card in the owners manual but most dealers remove it before selling so you will have to get it from a fiat service center. It is a code that the dealer uses when programming new keys for the car. Basically it lets the db-all program its self as a key in the cars computer.

The only way the factory will arm is with the factory remote. Make sure to install a remote start with keyless. Tell the customer not to use the factory remote to lock the doors. Only use the aftermarket remote.

so you guys have done this with the Factory Alarm with no issues at all using the DBALL ? as long as i just tell them to use the keyless entry remote.
