Ok so I have some one to install but want to do/learn myself. I'm a tech type but do more software than actual wiring.

My goal is to learn as much as I can confer with the pros(you) and proceed.


It looks to me that I can install the R/S side of the 5704viper without the bypass(evo-all). Learn The tach then test with oem "key".

Then install Bypass.
Is this the case or should I do something different??

After I have learned/understand each step I will ask about the next.

Then atempt the install- maybe by next weekend.

Yes. You can do the remote start installation first and test with the oem key for functionality before doing the bypass module.

Now I am looking at evoall and it looks like it has wires for trunk release, door status, tach etc.

It looks like I could just hook up the wires on the r/s harness from the 5704 to the corresponding wires on the evoall then hook up the evoall wires to the truck and that would basically take care of the r/s side of things.

But then you throw in the alarm. Some of the wires that are on the bypass are on the alarm's r/s harness then some are on the other harnesses.

Do i just hook everything that has a mate on the bypass to the alarm and what is left hook directly to the car.

I know there are different routs but what would be best practice?
