The key fob for my Clifford 5902 is damaged (see: worn out)

The little metal doohickey that attaches the key fob to the key ring has worn a hole in the bezel and will no long attach to a key ring.

So the keyfob is now loose, separate - detached.

Is There a way to replace the housing for the color Clifford (or viper) dei keyfob remote control?

Or anyone got any ideas how to reattach a key ring to it?

Your local dealer can order you a new fob case.

I've asked. I was offered a new remote for $299 as I recall.

After calling dealers in my area, none of them are able to order just the remote key fob housing. Only a complete whole replacement, ie; a new color remote.

$179 online, $199 average local.

I'm shocked that I must be the only person to have broken the key ring thing...?

Here is a picture of my Clifford color remote keyfob where the metal keyring has worn itself out of the bezel.

Simply put, that little metal plug that attaches to the key ring or key chain, has a slender section that is molded in the plastic bezel. After a couple of years the hole in the plastic has worn and gotten bigger so now the meal plug freely slides out and no longer holds the remote.
