Ok. I have a Viper 5704 installed in my 92 Celica. Remote start works fine, alarm works fine, lock/unlock great. My only problem is when I have remote start running the alarm will not disarm or unlock my doors to enter the car. I have the locks wired together with diodes and the child safety wire connected also. This is the only thing that will not work for me. Any help?? Thanks/

With out more info its hard to say. That happens on newer vehicles that the factory keyless system shuts down while the vehicle is on which also prevents aftermarket systems from working but I have NOT seen this in a 92 celica. Check the setting for the remote start safelock feature but still that shouldn't keep it from responding to the viper remote. I'd need mor info as to what you have wired where etc.

Would there be a key sense on this old a vehicle disabling the locking when the ignition is on?
