So I am having some issues with a Viper 524 alarm/RS in a 1999 Wrangler. Wiring diagram for the car is good, all wires were tested with a multi meter and I know this should be a very straight forward install. I haven't installed any of these new units yet.I think I must have something mixed up here. This is what I have done so far:
Main Harness(6 pin):
Red (12v input) connected to Pink/Blue at ignition switch
Black (- ground) wire brushed a nice metal spot, ground is definitely good
Brown (siren) working
WHITE/ Brown - not used
White (+ parking lights) connected to BLACK / YELLOW at courtesy light. Working
Orange - not used
Remote Start Harness:
Pink (+ Ignition 1 input/output) Tried using this instead of Red, did nothing. Not connected at the moment
RED / White (+fused Ignition 2/flex relay input 87) Connected to BLACK/ Orange at ignition switch
Orange (+ accessory output) Connected to BLACK/ Orange at ignition switch
Violet (+ Starter output Starter Side) starter wire (Yellow) was cut and this is connected correctly
Green (+ Starter output Key Side) starter wire (yellow) was cut and this is connected correctly
Red (+ fused Ignition 1 input) Connected to Blue at ignition switch
Pink/White (+ Ignition 2/Flex relay output) not used
Pink/Black (+ Flex relay input 87A (if required)) not used
RED / Black (+ fused accessory/starter input) not used
Tach wire is connected at the coil to the Grey/White.
Brake is connected to WHITE/ Tan at brake pedal.
Door Trigger is connected to Yellow in the kick panel.
All working
I have a feeling something here is reversed and my brain is just not picking up on it. The remote start will not engage at all. It doesnt even seem to turn on the accy power. I get 7 clicks from the unit and then nothing happens.
Alarm is working fine. There are no power locks, alarm works if either door is opened, or slap the car in any position. The RS has me confused. I am sure I am missing something here but being the last few remote starts I installed were Avital 4000, 4100, 4300's (I had about 25 of them left over from a while ago when I was doing this on a regular basis).
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Try this on the Remote Start Harness:
Pink (+ Ignition 1 input/output) Blue
RED / White (+fused Ignition 2/flex relay input 87) Red
Orange (+ accessory output) Connected to BLACK/ Orange at ignition switch OK
Violet (+ Starter output Starter Side) starter wire (Yellow) was cut and this is connected correctly OK
Green (+ Starter output Key Side) starter wire (yellow) was cut and this is connected correctly OK
Red (+ fused Ignition 1 input) Pink/Black
Pink/White (+ Ignition 2/Flex relay output) BLACK/ Green ********* Set to ACC2
Pink/Black (+ Flex relay input 87A (if required)) not used OK
RED / Black (+ fused accessory/starter input) Red

A few extra thoughts :
You didn't mention it and your Jeep may not need it but... Check your factory ignition key. If it is
Grey, you will need a bypass module for the Chrysler Sentry Anti-Theft system.
The seven blinks when you attempt a remote start is the R/S telling you it is still in Manual Transmission
mode and you haven't properly set Reservation Mode yet. If your Jeep is an automatic, change the R/S
programming ( Menu 3, Item 1, to Option 2 ) to Transmission Mode = Automatic.
The R/S system you are installing is a fairly complex system, robust with many features ( and designed
to be installed by Directed Factory Trained professionals ). There might be a full install guide in the
Downloads section to assist you.

Check to make sure your starter wires are hooked up correctly. How are the connections made? Twist and Tape? Solder? t Taps?
