I purchased a Remote Start/Keyless Entry for my vehicle.

I have a basic understanding of the install except disarming the factory alarm. All the information I can find about disarming factory alarm is very vague. They all say Factory Alarm Disable LT GREEN, located under rear seat next to battery.

Unfortunately there about 100 wires under there in a loom and maybe 15 of them LT GREEN.

I looked at the RFA Module Pinout(controls keyless entry, RAP, etc.). There are two inputs to it with LT. GREEN wires. One is the front and rear door lock cylinder switches and one is for key sensing. Both switch ground.

So, my question the key sense wire would be the one I want to ground when remote starting to prevent alarm correct? Does it need to see ground when remote starting only or see ground at all times? Or maybe I am on the wrong track altogether. First install BTW.

Thanks for any insight.

Usually the factory disarm wire is the drivers door key cylinder unlock wire. Turning the cylinder to unlock provides a negative pulse to disarm.
