I just installed my Viper 5704 on my 2000 Toyota Celica. When I hooked up everything it worked great. Now my problem is that when I try to step on the brake while the car is started via remote start, the car doesn't die.. It worked when I first had it hooked up but now its not working anymore. Same thing for the hood pin. When I pop the hood the alarm doesn't go off or the car doesn't die. What could be the problem? It was working and now it doesn't anymore?!??

For me, in a situation like that, I use a very basic rule of troubleshooting.
"It was working fine, now it's not. What did I do between those two time points?"
While it could be a coincidental failure somewhere, usually, it boils down to something
I did or changed.
Did you solder and insulate all your connection?
Did you move or re-position any wires or system components?
Did you disconnect the battery or unplug power to any system components?
Double check all the harness connectors to ensure that all are seated in position.
Double check your ground wire connection.
It should be easy enough to test the Vipers Brake input wire with a DMM to verify that the
+12V signal is getting to the Viper.
If everything checks out OK, try a power reset on the Viper.
------------- Soldering is fun!

How did you make your connections? Scotchlocks, t-taps or ??. Check the harness for those inputs. 24 Pin? make sure it is plugged in tightly. Might have come loose.

Thanks guys. The harness was loose at the brain.. I don't know how I missed it last night. I was certain that it was clicked in. It might of been because I was really tired. Haha, had a long day at work yesterday.
