Finally I had time to go back and finish 4704 install on my 2008 Nissan rogue key fob type vehicle. My issue is the starter doesn't turn over checked my grounds etc. What i've found is that there is no power to the starter wire at the ignition plug when I attempt a start. There is approx. 12 volts when I use the key fob what I'm I missing?

Thx

The heavy duty plug; is there a red, RED / white and RED / black? Are they all connected to a heavy duty (such as ignition loom supply wires) constant?
Has tach been programmed?

Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.

I did not connect the RED / white RED / black based on my reading for this vehicle on the forums. I just completed the RED / white RED / black connections redid the tach run and programmed the tach. The vehicle will now turn over (and run) BUT only with the key in the tumbler I gather I have a bypass issue now?

I'm not sure if you are using D2D or W2W. If you are using W2W did you connect the Ground While Running input to the Dark Blue Status Output wire?

I'm doing D2D, I can program the bypass but the led is off during remote start attempt (invalid ground when running status from remote starter). Based on the guide 9473 I connected the solid black lines only so no status output wires have been connected.

If running D2D mode to a Viper 4704, was / is the iDatalink bypass module flashed with the DBI flavor of firmware ( not the ADS flavor )?

Still not sure if you have the correct firmware.
DBI-AL(DL)-NI4 for ADS-AL CA bypass module is the correct firmware for D2D with a Viper unit.
ADS-AL(DL)-NI4 for ADS-AL CA bypass module will not work D2D with a Viper unit.
Either will work in W2W mode.

Got it as far as I recall the device type selected was other so the recommended install mode was iDatalink 2 way so I did flash it with the wrong firmware. I'll have another go tomorrow thx Kreg!!

Yes, should be DBI-AL(DL)-NI4-EN version 1.7. Follow the correct diagram in install guide #10934 and set the
ADS AL-CA's Installation mode to Type 1 ( one Blink - Data Mode ) & lock it in for D2D communications with the Viper.
