I've been looking into some heated seat kits. Has anyone tried Metra kits ? They seem to get good reviews. I like the 5 position switch they offer (well my wife does anyway). They will be going in a 2012 Kia Sedona.

Any recomenditions are welcome

I installed heated seat kits in my 2000 Taurus and my wife's 2009 Corolla. I got the style that only has the HI/LO switch. Wife loves them as we live in northern Wisconsin. There are videos on youtube that show the general work involved. Your seat cover has to be the type that IS NOT glued to the cushion, otherwise you won't be able to install them.  One of the heating pads stopped working and had to be replaced, but they have all worked fine for two winters now coming up on the third. So 1 pad failure out of the 8 installed.  I used the kits with the 9x18 inch pad. One for bottom and one for the back of each seat.

A couple of long needle nose pliers, about 12 inches long, work nice when trying to get at the hog rings and for grabbing the zip ties when putting it back together.

The 5 position switch sounds nice. On mine the HI setting will get very toasty and then I switch to LO
