Just a quick question here that I can't seem to find an answer for through my searches:

I want to install the remote start system that was in my gf's 2003 Mustang in her 2007 Mustang. I'm wondering if Ford did anything different to its PATS system that would require me to get a new interface or will the alarm swap over without any major difficulties.

Thanks for looking!

It might depend on what is currently installed in the 2003 Mustang. Ford went from the PATS1 to the PATS3 system in the Mustang with the 2005 model. The 2003
only needed one key to program the bypass module while the 2007 will need two working, non-clone, keys to program the bypass module. Some bypass modules
can only be programmed once, to one car. The older chip transponder bypass modules ( like the 555FW ) are not as reliable as the newer Data style modules.

If you find a module like the Directed 1100F of the ADS TB, you can re-use it but if will be wired slightly differently because the change in the PATS system and
transponder connector. Might be easier to buy a 1100F for $20 and use that on the 2007 Mustang.
