I might not be searching for the correct term, but I have been looking all morning for a lift gate trigger, rear window trigger, or tail gate trigger for a 2003 Jeep Liberty. I do not have any clue what to wire up for the rear window or tail gate trigger. The only option I can think of is a hood pin trigger, but I do no want to drill into the metal to install that if there is a better way. I currently have not located a wire that changes in any way when either the window or the gate is opened.

What I am asking is: Is there a wire under the dash that monitors the tail gate or rear window?

Trunk/Hatch Pin      tan/black      -      conn. 1, pin 7 @ BCM

The flip up glass pin switch is yellow/white in conn. 1, pin 9 of the BCM.

The BCM (Body Control Module) is attached to the left of the fusebox. Connector 1 is a gray 26 pin plug, and connector 2 is a gray 22 pin plug.

If your system doesn't have 2 negitive truck triggers you will need to split the 2 with diodes
