Hi everyone, my name is Clyde and I am an Emergency Vehicle Technician. I am working on a Rosenbauer Panther ( large fire fighting apparatus ) The department wants to put a Viper 5904V security system on it. The apparatus doesn't have or need all of the inputs and outputs the alarm system has. I need help knowing which wires need input for the system to pair the remotes and function as a starter interlock when alarm is set or tripped. I am planning to use the orange 500ma wire to ground a relay which will remove power from the multiplexing unit because this will render the unit inoperable. I was only planning to connect the trunk/instant trigger wire to the signal from the door(s) opening to activate the alarm.

Please let me know what you think.

Thanking you in advance,

Clyde

Hello, This sounds like an interesting project. At least compared to the hundred camry's and civics we normally do. posted_image  (I am already assuming the vehicle in question is a 12v negative ground vehicle) (If it is not, then stop immediately and do NOT proceed!) To get the unit to respond, you simply need 12v on all wires listed as 12v constant input, ground on the black wire labelled ground and either ignition on the large pink wire or a toggle switch providing switched 12v. Obviously the antenna as well. That will get the unit to at least power up and respond to the remotes. Aside from that it is as simple as matching what wires you want to function to something in the vehicle. Making sure the polarity and functions match what the alarm needs.
