I had a post from the other day with 2 questions. I have the door locks working. I can't get the dome light to stay on after the alarm is unlocked. I have the dome lights on a relay and they work if I ground # 86. #85 is power. Witch wire activates the dome lights? After unlocking,30 seconds later I hear the internal relay shut off but I can't find the wire it controls. Could I have a defective brain? Everything else works.
Main Harness wires
H1/2 H1/3 H1/5 H1/8(connected to dome light wire) H1/11
Auxiliary Harness wires
H3/5 H3/6 H3/7
What did I miss?
Dave

I don't have the manual handy for the 3303, but the viper units I've used have a - dome light output. Test to see if that wire is actually giving you a - output.

Aside from that, is the dome light relay that you referred to factory installed or something you wired in. I ask because a common practice is to have the +/power on 86 and -/ground on 85. Maybe you tapped into the wrong side? Just another thought.

The dome light relay is not factory installed. I had it from the previous alarm. The relay wiring is,#30 is negative door trigger, #87 is grounded, #85 is 12 volt power, #86 to alarm. If I wire the relay to (H1/1) (-) 200mA Trunk Release Output I can turn the dome light on with the remote as long as I hold the (AUX) button in. Shortly after disarming the alarm I can hear an internal relay click.
Thanks,Dave

I see what you mean about the relay...
Now based on your 'test' using the trunk release wire, you are at the correct wire on your relay.

Your viper unit should have a dome light - output (H1/9 I believe). That is the wire you should have connected to the relay instead of the trunk release wire.
Once you have that H1/9 wire hooked up, you should have your dome light come on for a certain period of time after hitting the unlock button. (that's my understanding of the dome light output on the viper unit, I personally have never needed to use it so I can't be 100% sure.)

H1/9 is for the flex relay outlet. That is the wire that I thought the relay should be wired to but nothing happened. I was changing some settings in the feature menu but the one feature that won't change is the flex relay features. The features are Dome, Horn and Trunk. If I change it in the feature menu it always goes back to the Trunk setting. I think I have a defective unit.
Thanks, Dave
