I've decided the factory keyless system is just too much money to put a new module in and then reprogram the keyfobs through the dealer... so we popped in used replacement module in and am going ot just do a Viper 211HV keyless system instead, I figure I had it in my Subaru and LOVED the range and the remotes are very OEM looking.. so...
could anyone help a guy out again for a direct diagram for the 211HV into a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee? Do I need resistors in the lock system like my old Stratus? Any help making this as simple as possible is beyond appreciated!

There is only one "simple" solution for that vehicle. Get a "convenience features" bypass module. I install Remote Start systems, so the modules I use also takes care of the transponder immobilizer system but you can find modules that just do the locks and Factory alarm. Look for a Directed 455J or 455JW module. They can be found for around $15, delivered to your door. Sure beats using a plethora of relays and going into both front doors...( as shown in this diagram from Bulldog Security : https://diagrams.marktoonen.nl/DOWNLOADS/3430_GRAND-CHEROKEE_JEEP%20GRAND%20CHEROKEE%20LOCKS.pdf )

oh wow, well, that does make it simpler, so much for the simple toss in a keyless module and be done. At least it doesn't look like THAT much more to get done...this still might be cheaper and easier than reinitiating the factory module... time to do some pricing
