2008 sienna door lock pulse for oem input

Hi,

I bought a 2008 Sienna that came with crimestopper RS1905-FM installed but I did not get the remote. After contacting crimestopper, I decided to use the factory keyless remote and hooked up the negative OEM input wire to the CS. The crimestopper is programmed for 3 pulse input. The issue I am having is that when I use lock button on the factory keyless remote nothing happens but when i touch that wire to ground three time, the van starts as expected. I hooked up the correct wire for the lock pulse. I check it by touching it to ground and it locks the doors. Any ideas??

After checking it again I think that I am using the wrong wire for door locks input. The wire shows 10 volts at rest. Can some guide me to dins the correct wire for OEM input to send a negative pulse when lock key is pressed on factory keyless remote? Thanks

If this lock wire is to used as a trigger for an aftermarket remote starter, the usual method is to use the
drivers door lock motor wire. Here is the wire info :
Lock Motor   Blue/Red (5 wire)      @ driver kick, 12 pin plug, pin 11

In the case of the Sienna, this wire actually goes (+) with a lock pulse, not the (-) signal your CrimeStopper
is looking for. You could add a relay to convert the signal polarity to (-) but, with your Sienna, when the
van is remote started & the engine is running, the Factory remotes no longer function. You would have
to unlock the doors with the key...   Think it would be better to find some CrimeStopper remotes, assuming
the system was installed properly and still functions.

Thank you so much. This is exactly the information I was looking for. The system is installed properly. I can start the car by manually grounding the CS OEM input wire three times. I tried to find the CS remote but this model is discontinued for a long time and I was told by CS that the other newer remotes will not work. My other option is to buy a complete new system with two remotes. By any chance anyone knows a newer crimestopper model number to swap the existing crimestopper RS 1905-FM system with minimal rewiring? I don't need alarm. I just need the remote start and keyless entry. Thanks

I am not a CrimeStopper user but it looks like there are remotes available on EBay. It would be good to have the actual transmitter FCC ID number to ensure the correct replacement part.

Can't help with plug compatible newer CrimeStopper units.

I tried to find the CS remote but could not find the correct remote for this old remote starter. The remote starter works if I manually touch the OEM negative input wire to ground three times. I am having problem getting the negative pulse wire when the lock button is pressed on the factory remote. In order to convert the factor + wire in the above post, I found the Blue/Red pin 11 wire in the 12 pin wire harness and wired it to a relay pin 86, pin 85 and 30 connected to ground, and pin 87a connected to the remote starter factory OEM 3 pulse wire, and nothing connected to pin 87. It did not work.

Move the wire connected to Relay Pin 87a to Relay Pin 87.

When the relay energizes with the (+) lock input on Pin 86 from the Sienna, the relay makes a momentary connection from Pin 30 to Pin 87, supplying a ground to the CrimeStopper's  Start Trigger Input wire.  Three pulses in a row will initiate a remote start-up.

I stated it incorrect that nothing is connected to pin 87. The remote starter OEM input wire is connected to pin 87 and nothing is connected to pin 87a.

When I tried to check the voltage on door lock motor + wire, I see some voltage fluctuation for fraction of a second but it never shows anything around 12V. I am sure that I am testing the correct wire. After Kreg told me about the Blue/Red pin 11 wire in 12 pin wire harness, I verified it with the factory wiring diagram. It looks like the pulse duration is so short that it does not activate the relay.

Never tried this on a Toyota product due to the Factory FOB's not working after the engine is running.  Always used R/S system w/ RKE and remotes.

Think I would use a LED test light on the Sienna's lock wire and watch the test lights duration, etc.  Might even try testing the relay itself in a stand-alone setting.
