I'm at wits end about this now and have tried everything to get it to turn over.

I have all the wires connected properly but it won't turn over, it will initialize all the lights on the dash but after a few seconds it will turn off abd retry but the same thing happens.

I did the whole sequence of figuring out what the problem is with the led on the brain... it blinks 3 times... that's fir low voltage or no RPM... the brain confirmed that it learned the tach by turning the led solid.

The car is not the smart key it is a regular key. I am also using the XK09 bypass that is programmed since it constantly blinks while trying to remote start.

What could be the problem?

Have you tried disconnecting the xk09 and putting the key in the ignition. Then try to remote start the truck to rule out a bypass issue ?

You could also turn off engine checking and see if it cranks. If it does then you have a tach issue

I would lean towards the transponder not being replicated properly. If it is coming on but not cranking it is telling me that it is not seeing the key.

I'll have to try and unplug the bypass abd see what happens... I turned off the engine checking but I will recheck it again

Thanks everyone... I will update when I figure it out

It looks like the XK09 won't work for that vehicle according to https://www.xpresskit.com/CompatibilityChart.aspx?productid=447&c=223. Fortin's EVO-ALL will work and iDatalink's ADS-AL-CA will work too.

Ok I got the EVO-ALL programmed tried the remote start again and it will initialize but will not start the vehicle. It will start remotely with the key in the ignition.

The shutdown diagnostics says it's a transmitter shutdown the led blinks 4 times.

What could be the problem now?

Could be status wire to bypass module

This still tells me that the transponder is not interfaced with properly

Did you connect the EVO-ALL W2W or D2D. If its D2D did you put the 4103 in D2D mode. I would also try hardwiring the status output of the 4103 to the GWR from the EVO-ALL. Ive had issues on occasion with the GWR not transmitting properly thru D2D

Ok, I scrapped the Avital for a Compustar CS600S... Still have the EVO-ALL with updated firmware to 72.06... I go through the programming process and get all the way up to the point where the BLUE LED is supposed to blink rapidly, well it doesn't blink at all... The YELLOW and RED LED will come on and stay on then the BLUE LED comes on and stays on but will not blink rapidly.

Can anyone help me now? I must be doing something wrong but can't figure it out... I've installed numerous remote starts in the past and even went to school for this stuff but this damn car has got me stumped.
