Ok, first, thanks guys that have already given my input on other topics relating to my getting ready for this install. Ill keep it under this subjust from here on out.  This is my second remote start install and the first went great and i loved it.  Whats new to me is the idatalink and how many of the actual 5706 functions it will handle. Ive got all my vehicle wiring diagrams, idatalink instructions and the 5706 stupid quick referance guild (  DEI hates me because in not a pro installer ). Ok, just a little bitter.

Anyway,  I need to know if the heavy gauge wires will still be used for the remote starting? I would think theyd need to be.  And do i wire the window module, sun roof, and pop trunk off the aux wires from the 5706 unit just like in the past?  From the idatalink type 1 diagram it looks like id only be connecting 6 wires into the vehicle: 4 to the ingition plug, 1 to ground and 1 to drivers door pin for head lights. So it seems id have to wire all other desired functions off the alarm unit.

Assuming 2010 Honda Accord sedan, regular key.  Python 5706 and ADS AL CA flashed with
DBI AL(DL) HA3 firmware going D2D and using Install Guide #11978 Type 1 diagram.

The answer is Yes.  The 7 Pin connector shown in the guide is the Transponder Plug.  The
Main Ignition Connector is a White plug with 5 thick wires ( White, Blue, Yellow, Red, Orange ).
You will need to set the Python Flex output ( Pink/White ) to ACC2 and make all of the H3 ignition
wire connections.

The iDatalink bypass module will handle the Trunk Release for you, but only when the engine
is OFF.  If you want to be able to pop the trunk at all times, some advanced module programming
will be required along with a relay and the Python's H2/5 RED / WHITE (-) 200mA TRUNK RELEASE
OUTPUT wire.

Soldering is fun!

Yes thanks. Very helpful. As far as connecting the pink / white acc 2 wire from Python, i can't find an acc 2 wire on my honda diagrams.
I will also need to figure out how to advance program the bypass to pop trunk at all times.

Do I wire the power window module off one of the pythons aux wires just like if there was no bypass module?
And will I need an additional power window module to operate the sunroof off a different aux wire.
