2005 pontiac pursuit remote starter

Hi I'm looking to a install a remote starter on my car before winter hits.
Does anyone happen to have a wiring diagram?
My car is a base model so it should be pretty simple to install correct?
If anyone has any tips or tricks to give me I would really appreciate it!

If your ignition key has a "+" sign inside of a circle stamped at the top of the blade, you have the PK3+ immobilizer system.   The ignition system does not have a standard starter
wire. The Door Lock system in a one-wire system.   All in all, you will need a full featured bypass module, especially if the vehicle has a Factory Alarm. It will make the install a lot
easier. My recommendations would be an iDatalink ADS DL or ADS AL CA bypass module flashed with the DL-GM2 firmware. Another good choice would be the Fortin EVO-ALL
flashed specifically with Ver 4.06 firmware.

They pretty much show most all of the necessary wiring (except R/S connections to main +12V Power, Chassis Ground, Parking Lights & Horn ).

Thanks for the reply's. It turns out my key doesn't have a plus sign on it. So It has the passlock system instead of passkey.

The manual is kind of confusing to understand.
Wires to the ignition:
wire 1: Black and White
wire 2: White
wire 3: Brown
wire 4: Yellow
wire 5: Red and White

First, there is no such thing as easy. In most cases, "easy" is bringing the vehicle into a local, quality 12 Volt Install shop, telling them exactly what you want, getting their
expert, experienced recommendations and picking up your completed vehicle later that day. More expensive but a lifetime guarantee and very easy. There are forum members
from Canada and hopefully they can provide experienced advice for your install.

As you noticed, most of the information is for U.S. market vehicles. Your 2005 Pursuit isn't directly listed at most sites. That is why I also included the bypass module
install guides. Even though you are not using one of their products, a lot of good information can be obtained from these guides.   Both Fortin and iDatalink are Canadian
companies and their install guides include information on your vehicle. If you desire even more of this type of information before attempting the install, Fortin has a service
called WireColor that not only lists your vehicle, it includes 29 wires and 12 photo's. This info would be free using the coupon in the EVO-ALL package but can also be obtained

I have not used a Directed PLJX bypass module on a 2005 Pontiac Pursuit and I agree that the install guide is difficult to understand. My best guess is that you will follow the
PLJX diagram on Page 3 ( ION, Canyon, Colorado, Pursuit ). Below is what I think the vehicles ignition connector looks like using the Fortin and iDatalink information.

2005 Pursuit Green 6 Pin Ignition Switch connector as per DEI   :
Pin 1 ?
Pin 2 ?
Pin 3 Yellow Ignition
Pin 4 Brown Accessory
Pin 5 White Passlock2 resistor code
Pin 6 WHITE/ Black       Passlock2 Reference

Your pin out looks to be numbered in reverse from DEI's, but there are only 3 wires used with the install : Yellow, Brown and White.

Crossing that over to the PLJX install guide, here are the connections:
PLJX
Black     Chassis Ground
Red       +12V constant
Pink       Yellow @ Pin 3 of Pursuit Green 6 Pin Ignition connector      ***This vehicle wire also has the Remote Starters thick (+) Ignition Output wire connected.
Pink/White key side of cut White Passlock2 wire @ Pin 5 of Pursuit Green 6 Pin Ignition connector
Violet     Remote Starter thick (+) Starter Output wire
Blue       BCM side of cut White Passlock2 wire @ Pin 5 of Pursuit Green 6 Pin Ignition connector
Brown    Remote Starter (-) Status Output ( aka Ground When Running, GWR, (-) Third Ignition, etc )

The above info is for the PLJX bypass module connections and does not include all the necessary wire connections for the ( as yet un-named ) Remote Starter.
