Need a bit of input on this one.....installed the above, everything working well (r/s, locks, trunk). When remote starting, just before the starter engages, I can hear a series of rapid solenoid clicks...kind of sounds like when a battery is almost too weak to energize the starter.
As I go back over the install, think it may be a mistake on my part concerning the 2-12V power connections...I attached one directly to the recommended 80A supply, and then piggy-backed the second onto the first. Could this be the issue....should I have made two connections directly to the power source??
I had limited access to the vehicle power feed for a second wire to be attached....some wiring diagrams recommend attaching to the 10A feed at the ignition switch, would this be suitable for the second attachment?
Any input much appreciated....Al
You're sure the clicking sound is of the starter solenoid? And does it do the clicking only under remote start or with key starting as well?
Also, does it happen sometimes or often?
I don't believe doubling the 2 12volt wires and then connecting them to a source will cause a problem.
I would check to see if you have a good ground, maybe try a different spot.
Is the Mitsu a standard or auto ? Also, what bypass module are you using ? If it's a manual, please reply back with how you bypassed the clutch.
