I installed a Delta Pro-5005 Combo alarm/keyless entry/remote start system in a 1994 GMC Yukon and got everything working except for the door locks and trunk release. I didn't really attempt them because i have no idea whick wires to hook up exactly. The kit comes with a three wire adapter that plugs into the alarm module.
Green - (-) lock
Red - (+) 12volt out
Blue - (-) unlock These are for the door locks and a Gray Neg output for the trunk release. Will I need 3 relays??
What i need to know is exactly where each of these wires is supposed to be hooked up to.
Anyones help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Here's the link to the wiring for your Yukon (4WD):
Cllick here
It says the door lock wire is light blue in the driver's kick panel (to the left of your left foot when driving). The unlock wire says "reverse polarity". I'll let someone else explain that one.
I couldn't find the a manual for that alarm on the internet, but if you have the manual....it should tell you whether or not you'll need 2 relays for the door locks, and whether you'll need 1 for the trunk release. You'll most likely need one for the trunk.

yes it is a reverse polarity system.
omega makes a DLS (door lock socket) that you plug two relays into and wire it up. it would take about 5-10 mintues if u had the part. if not look to the left under car security then under door locks. the info is there but if you dont have a DLS it will take much longer to wire each relay up. just make sure you double check the pins. if you wire it up wrong and try to use it you can short the door lock system and or the alarm.

Hey thanks for your help and advice cpgoose and draasch. Got everything up and running. Figured out that the alarm only has onboard light relays so I did need additional relays for my door locks and trunk release. I thought it was a bit misleading of them to say all relays were on board but what can you do. Draasch, the advice about the DLS was awesome, got one for $15.00 at a local install shop in town was a breeze that way. Again thanks for the advice and I'm sure I'll post some more quesions in the future since I'm such a newb at this. Jody Barnes
