after trying xpresskits dball kit im considering trying idatalink ADS-AL CA for my Mitsubishi evo x

My main concern is that I wasn't to be able to remote start with my factory keyfob. I know what dball requires D2D mode to have this working.

Is this the same as the idatalink? Ive went though the wiring guide and its looks like W2W but the unit did list the kit as compatible with remote starting from factory keyfob.

any insight would be good before I was more money giving a different bypass a shot.

sounds like you need to wire it differently because any vehicle should be able to be remote started from the factory key fob, well depending on the rs system you have installed.
None of the manus I see offer this from just there modules.

If you are using rsr firmware on the module and your vehicle in question has a manual transmission, it will not work. In other words, if the bypass module is being used as a stand alone remote starter then it must be installed in automatic transmissions only.

sorry guys I forgot to mention that the car is a MR which has the A/T
I'll be using a viper 5701 along with the bypass module.

The bypass module shouldnt matter if youre using a remote start and not just RSR. You can use the lock wire of the vehicle to trigger the WHITE/ blue activation wire. It requires as many pulses as the remote from the viper is programmed to. so if you want it to start on 3 presses program the viper to 3 and youre good to go. just make sure you diode isolte the lock and activation input so nothing backfeeds
