A family member has a Ford factory remote start that is installed in their Ranger. I believe it is the "Bronze" unit (7L2Z-19G364-AA) as it came with a transmitter with only 1 button. I've installed many DEI units over the years and most have a start activation input that I can use so the customer can use their existing factory remote.

I was wondering if these Ford factory remote start units (made by Code Alarm) have an activation input as well? I would like to combine the remote start into the existing factory door lock remote.

Thank you.

No. The ford systems do not have an activation input wire. Better off taking it out and putting aftermarket for that feature.

Figured that was the case but was still hopeful. Thank you.
