Hey guys,
I'm trying to add a shock sensor to my factory alarm. I bought a DEI 504K and was wondering what wires I would hook up the trigger, power. Etc...

Thanks!

Yea I saw this post. So according to the Frontier diagram on this website I hook the "trigger wire" to the door trigger (grey) and not the hood latch like in the post you gave me? Also do I need to add that fuse or can I just tap a constant 12V source?

Thanks for your help!

Always fuse cause this will protect your vehicle wiring. Use a 5 amp fuse for this application. Also, diode isolate the trigger wire so theres no potential of feedback to the door trigger.

Sorry for all the noob questions. How do I hook up a diode to the door trigger wire? It's a small piece of wire... What size diode is needed? Also since it's a constant 12v will the alarm ever turn off? When I run the mini add a fuse I just plug it into the fuse box with an empty spot that has a constant 12v? Is there another wire I should hook up the trigger to?
