Hello guys, I'm new here and I've been searching for my problem and couldn't find anything so I'm going to ask. Ok I have a 2001 gmc sierra and I am installing a python 5706 (should be that same as 5704) remote start/alarm. I was able to successfully install the alarm portion however, when I tried to start up the remote start I got an error on my remote followed by 8 flashes. I have identified that 8 flashes means that the neutral safety switch is off or that it has to do with neutral safety. As for the switch that goes in the brain I ran a loop so that the switch would always be in the "on" position. Now I'm not 100% sure if my wiring is right. Has anyone installed this alarm on the same vehicle or even the previous version? If so could you help me identify which wires are needed for remote start (colors, which pin they are located, what color wire they are to be connected to, and where the wire is located in vehicle) thanks in advance for those who help.

I dont have an 18 pin, i have a 24 pin that is the Auxiliary/shutdown/trigger harness, there's the back and white wire that is the neutral safety/parking break input, i grounded this wire, there is a note that says "Ground this wire for automatic transmition or connect to the parking break wire for manual transmission vehicles." Thanks for the reply.

Also idk if this would have to do with the problem but the orange and black wire (handbreak status output) in the red 12 pin harness that goes into my dball is suppose to go to my handbreak status input, which wire would that be in automatic?
