I just wired up the remote start and programmed the key and the only things that work are the remote start and the trunk. The lock and unlock don't work. Any help would be appreciated. I wired it up for the dball on the install guide.

I tried the light green one and it works now. Blue is wrong I don't know why they put two different wire hook ups.

Ok I'm now having issues with the remote start not working. The remote start will only run for 2-5 minutes then won't work at all until I reset the brain. Unlock and lock still work but remote start won't even try. Does any one have the install guide from direct techs with a avital 4103 and dball 2. I'm kind of stuck.

Did you wire d2d or w2w between the 4103 and dball2? does the status light on the dball flash when you try to remote start?

I did d2d and I did not notice if the dball flashed. But I get absolutely no response from the car trying to remote start. I'm curious if the dball is to blame just cause the fact that the brain is wired to the car and not the bypass.

If the 4103 doesn't respond to the remote start command but doorlocks function then I would check, hoodpin, neutral safety, or brake, there is also a shutdown diagnostics to see what is keeping the r/s from happening, I believe the manual for the 4103 is in the downloads section.

Hood pin undone, neutral grounded, and brake not pressed. No lights flashing when shuts down.
I should have posted that before sorry for not saying earlier. But if that was the case how come the remote start is not responding. I used bullydogsecurity and xpress kit for install. I'm kinda lost on what else to do. Programmed with bit writer so I can see all settings are holding.

So then the car tries to start or doesn't respond at all when you try to r/s?

No response at all. After I reset the brain. I can start it a few times. But then it won't allow me to do anything

In the manual there is a sequence listed as shutdown diagnostics. If doorlocks respond via remote command but the remote start command produces no action then I usually use this. You will need the avital to be disarmed/unlocked and the programming button plugged in. Press and hold the programming button, turn the ignition on then off, release programming button, press and release 1 more time. The led on the avital should flash. There is a table for how many flashes equals which variable is keeping the car from remote starting. If the car is trying to start but dies or shuts down after a few seconds then we need to check if the bypass is function and or check tach signal.

I will hook up the programming button probably tomorrow. But it doesn't start or even try.

Could you list all of the wire connection you have made from the RS and DB-ALL to the car?
It might help give us a picture of what is connected and what might be missing.
