i am instaling alarm on a 00 focus the door trigger is hooked onto the dome light but the dome light has a delay on it and when to turn the alarm on the dome light is still on and it triggers the alarms about 5 sec latr than it was activated any tips or help plz???????????

Did you connect the alarm's negative door trigger input to the BLACK/ Blue wire in the driver's kick panel that only shows ground when a door is open?
