Things seemed to be going fine now I have major problems, I also updated my original post thought this would be a better summary.

Followed the instructions, double checked everything 3 times with my meter and soldered all connections when installing the Python 5706p in my 07 FJ.

When I tried to do a remote starter test the dash lights would come on but it would not turn over I checked everything again with my meter everything looks fine. I had a document from the Toyota Forum saying instead of using the strater -200mA brain output I should use the -200mA aux 1 output.

My 07 FJ immediately started.

Ran thru all the tests, arm-disarm, locks, lights, but noticed the siren was getting quieter it eventually just stopped????

So I go for a test drive everything is fine, pull over put in park it dies? Start it fine hit reverse fine, hit drive it stalls? Now the strange thing is there a rushing kind of fan sound coming from the drivers side behind the instrument cluster but the fan is off???

I then unplugged the Python 5706P brain but not relay,same thing happens?

I start my FJ it still stalls when put in drive. So I remove the battery post let it sit and at least get it in my garage but the problem still persists. Would I have needed a diode with the relay?

Also I did not cut the Starter 1 wire I just cut and capped H3/5 and used the Violet to Starter 1 but the old install had starter 1 and 2 jumpered together I removed the link.

Did you unplug any vehicle harnesses? Are they all fully seated/ clicked into place?

I will double check was also thinking maybe there is a problem with the starter 2 relay?

I was very careful when wiring the relay, 85 was originally wired to AUX 24 pin #21 violet / YELLOW but had to move to pin #7 white violet - 200mA AUX1 output, 86 and 87 jumped together fused to constant 12v, 30 to BLACK/ White Starter Wire 2.

Only thing I did not do in check the factory connectors and remove the actual relay from the relay block.

Why would you use the aux output to trigger the 2nd start relay? That wire is typically only activated by remote. You had it correct initially with the 2nd start output...

Okay it did not work with the original leads and a Toyota Forum said to use it, when I did it started as soon as I hit the remote start button but they said it needed a diode for the relay.

3. Wire the Relay to the H2 Harness (There’s a diagram of this on the Reference Sheet)

  • Take some extra wire (6-ish inches) and solder it to pin 86 of the relay.
  • Take another piece of extra wire (6-ish inches) and solder it to pin 87 of the relay.
  • Now solder those two wires to the 20 amp inline fuse.
  • Use another piece of extra wire to solder the the striped end of the diode to pin 86 of the relay. Solder the other side of the diode to the Viper’s H2/18 (violet / YELLOW).
  • Solder the Viper’s H2/18 (violet / YELLOW) wire to pin 85.
  • Solder some extra wire (12-ish inches) to pin 30 of the relay.
  • Here's a diagram of how the relay should be wired:

  • Wrap each of the connections in electrical tape.
  • If you bought a relay with a pin 87a, wrap this pin also because it won't be used

The diode is there to protect the transistorized output of the alarm brain. However, that diode is actually built in to the alarm brain so you technically have that diode there. There is no reason to put a diode on the coil when the coil is being driven by an output that is designed to drive an inductive load.

Where did you get your tach wire? It almost sounds as if there is a combustion problem - something that would have nothing to do with the 2nd starter wire.

I will double check thought the tach wire was not needed with and it learned it?
