I am installing a Compustar CM6200 with Blade AL in a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix. I can't get the unit to make it through the tach learning procedure. No parking light flash at all. I have found the 2 pink ignition wires that meter for ignition but also cannot get the "key chime" on either Pink wire when testing for start. Although this is most likely being caused by the RS not trying to start. Everything else is hooked up and working properly except this. When attempting to start the car, I get 3 & 1 parking light flashes telling me its either running or no tach. What am I missing? Why can't it learn tach??

The Blade AL flashed with the GM1 firmware does not supply a Tach signal on that vehicle.  You must connect the Compustar
CM6200 CN3-16 Yellow/Black Tach wire directly to the vehicle.   Here is the Tach wire info :
Tachometer     White (ac)         @ ignition control module **, pin E
** The IGNITION CONTROL MODULE is located on the TOP of the ENGINE, towards the PASSENGER SIDE.

ReadyRemote info suggests that Keysense is required.  Here is the info :
Keysense     Light Green (required) (-)         @ ignition harness or BCM, conn. C1, pin 40
The BCM (Body Control Module) is below the driver side dash to the left of the steering column.
You can use the CM6200 CN3-11 Black (-) Status Out ( GWR ) wire for this connection.

You can catch the correct Pink Ignition1 wire at the BCM, as shown below :
Ignition       Pink (+)          @ ignition harness or BCM, conn. C1, pin 22

Audiovox lists an Ignition2 wire...  No one else lists this wire so you probably don't need it, but here is the info :
Ignition 2     WHITE OR GREEN  (+)        @ IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
If it is there and tests as an Ignition wire, there is an external relay supplied in the CM6200 kit for this purpose.

Thank you for that info! So I hooked up both the keysense snd the tach wire as mentioned above. 6200 learned the tach and confirmed with 1 parking light flash! I can also activate the RS while the car is running and successfully remove the key and the car stays running. During that time I get 16 blue LED flashes on the Blade but I still cannot get it to start. Still getting the 3 & 1 parking light flashes when attempting to start. Now what am I missing?? And that is with all the doors and hood closed.

Can you list your CM6000 to G.P. connections?  Especially the CN1 and CN 3 wires.

Did you move the CN1 Ign1 wire connection over to the BCM location?

Hey got a 2004 grand prix r/s autostart 2-way with ads alca programmed to dlgm1. Just a little confusion as both units have about 100 wires I would like to do d2d but what all has to be hooked to the car? I have the obd class 2 hooked in with the datalinks Orange wire and pink to ign 1 at bcm as well as r/s spliced in.
