I just attempted my first remote start install and it isn't working. I connected all of the wires that were said to be required but I have nothing, the led light on the unit will not turn on. I made good connections and triple checked that I had the right wires prior to connecting them. The 3 fuses that were supplied are all good also. I attached a picture of what is grounded (green line next to) what I didn't connect (orange strike through) and everything else was connected. Any help is greatly appreciated. I don't know if the image will work because I am new to the site but I was not able to post in the pictorial forum.

Two issues I see--

1.)The Brake shutdown should go to the brake wire that shows +12V when you depress the brake pedal; This causes the remote start to shut down when you step on the brake.

2)The Hood pin should be "open", i.e., not grounded--When you ground the hood pin, you force remote start shutdown. This is typically grounded when the hood is opened as a safety feature.

I would disconnect these just to try your remote start and confirm it works, and then hook them up properly.

Do you have an immobilizer bypass in your vehicle?

What type of bypass are you using?

I will try to disconnect both of them and see if I get a light. Do I need a bypass? I have nothing hooked up for a bypass, where do I see if I need one for this vehicle?

Despite what the picture shows I did have the brown wire hooked up to the brake light. I went out cut the grey wire and it worked! When I first looked at the hood pin switch that was supplied it looked like the wire connected was designed to hit metal once compressed therefore grounding it but after looking at it again it is grounded when opened because the plunger and the mounting metal contact each other. Thanks for your help!!!
