I also need to wire up a relay to use on an acccesory output from the alarm to switch my side lights but i know i cant go straight from the alarm as the output is only rated at 200ma

Thankyou in advance

Which Clifford model is this? Which wire are you trying to connect? The neutral safety wire usually goes to the hand brake with a manual transmission.

Also, if you're not using Ignition 2, you can use that wire as an additional accessory output by changing the settings in the alarm.

You can use two 5 pin relays to do this. This circuit will always send a +12v to the remote start, but when the remote start is activated, it will check the handbrake. If the handbrake is not set, it disconnects the +12v source to the remote start. Here's the pinout:

First Relay:
Pin 85 - Ground
Pin 86 - Ignition output from remote starter
Pin 87a - Constant +12v
Pin 87 - to pin 30 on relay 2
Pin 30 - to handbrake wire from remote starter (+12v)

Second Relay:
Pin 85 - from car's handbrake wire
Pin 86 - Ignition output from remote starter
Pin 87a - not used
Pin 87 - Constant +12v
Pin 30 - to relay 1 pin 30
