I have used the "5 Wire Alternating 12 Volts Positive" system as posted on this site. Thank you. Only one problem.
It was necessary to cut the original wires (lock and unlock) that ran between the door switches and insert the relays. This had the effect of disabling the std door lock and unluck switches. Is there any way to regain their usage and retain the relays for the remote unlock/lock.
Thanks in advance.
Jeremy

The car is a 91 corvette. Sorry I forgot to post that in the original post.

You should be able to, you'll have to meter the switches and figure out what position completes the circuit.

No question is stupid or not worth asking. You were once a noob, right? :)

It should not have disabled the switches. Check your relays and make sure you did not transpose 30 and 87. It is critical and will not work if it is wired backwards.

The OEM switches should still work fine. You have it wired incorrectly.

Sorry to bother you all again, but I have checked the wiring and it appears to be correct.

Now - When I took the wires from the 30 and 87a terminals and connected them, the original door lock switches work. Thinking I may have had these wires reversed, I changed them over and put back the relays. Now the original door switches work, but the remote no longer locks and unlocks the doors.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Are you sure your relays have an 87A? Make sure they do not have 2 terminals labeled 87.
