Okay, I know one of you pros can clear this up for me pretty quickly as my googling isn't returning much.

I am going to be installing a Viper 5701 into a 09 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart with a iDatalink ADS-ALCA. The ADS-ALCA manual shows "Data Mode" using what I am assuming in a DBI wire. But it says (1-Way or 2-Way). How will I know which I am using (1 or 2 way), and from what I can tell these two will play nicely even though ones DBI and ones D2D, correct?

Is there a cheat sheet somewhere that clears all this up? Or solid information on the different standards.
Thanks!!

Are you choosing the DBI-AL(DL)-MI2 firmware when you flash the ADS AL-CA module?

Woops sorry forgot to mention.

Yes, I will be flashing it with DBI-AL(DL)-MI2.

I haven't got the stuff yet, just doing some preparation and want to know if I will be able to use the 2 way data connection.

Thanks!

You should be able to.  Just set the Installation Mode to Data ( one blink ) and lock it in.  Typically all DBI connections are two way, however some Directed units can't do Tach ( and sometimes Brake ) at all / reliably.
