I just installed an APS787C in a 2013 Hyundai Accent. The car locks and unlocks fine. It starts fine, but when I shut the RS down, the doors unlock and the dome light comes on. This was a straight forward install, but this puzzles me. Has anyone else run into this, and what might be causing the issue?
I unplugged the lock harness and the auxiliary harness, but it still unlocks and I get dome light, just as if the key was removed from the ignition.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Does the vehicle act like this when you start it up with the key, close all the doors, lock the vehicle with the door switch, then turn the vehicle off and remove the key?

The car reacts the same way. When the key is removed, the doors unlock and the parking lights stay on until the door is opened. I've done sonatas and elantras before that had the same key operation, but did not do this when remote started.
I would normally just pulse the door pin with pulse after shutdown, but I am reluctant to pulse the door pin, as the 787C alarm will sound.

the parking lights come on or the dome light comes on when the key is removed and the door is opened and closed?

Let me clarify. Normal operation is such that when the key is inserted in the ignition (in the off position), the parking lights come on. When the car is shut off and the key is removed from the ignition, or if the car is not started and you just remove the key from the ignition, the Dome lights come on, and all doors unlock. At the same time, parking lights come on (or remain on) until door is opened.
When the door is opened, parking lights shut off immediately. Dome light starts it's 30 second timeout, or goes out with door lock.

you could pulse the door pin after shutdown by using a relay to isolate the alarm door input signal so it doesn't trigger the alarm. This wont work if you are using bypass module with a door status output.

Forgot to mention, you may be able to look through the vehicles owners manual and turn those options off.

Thanks PTS 760. Yeah, I thought about the relay isolation for the door pin, I may try that, but the timing of the Pulse after Shutdown is an issue. I have it wired to lock right now, and it occurs at the same time as the ignition signals transition to off; as a result the doors still unlock. I am thinking that I need a pulse timer to delay the door pin pulse and another to relock the doors. Seems complicated for a simple install, and I was hoping others have already experienced and solved the issue in a more simple way.
I looked through the owner's manual, but no option available for this. The earlier vehicles I had worked on unlocked when the transmission was moved to Park; the latest approach seems to be using key removal to trigger unlock/dome/parking lights. There is no immobilizer in Accents for the US market, so everything is hardwired--no bypass.
If anyone else has solved this issue, or has not experienced it for a 2013 Accent install, please let me know.
