Getting ready to install a Viper 5706V and DBALL2 in a 2010 Tacoma, AT, dot-key.
Will the DBALL2 do anthing besides immobilizer bypass in this vehicle?

What I really want to know is if using the DBALL2 will change the wiring required for the 5706 (door locks, brake pedal, tach, etc)

Here are the functions the DBALL2 can perform in a 2010 Tacoma according to xpresskit.com:

D2D
PK-Immobilizer Bypass-Data No Key Req'd
ST-Brake Status (foot brake)
ST-Hand Brake Status
ST-Hand Brake Status
ST-Ignition Status

The DBALL will eliminate all those wires. Hook up the HSCAN wires and the RX/TX wires to the immobilizer and you're good to go.

All these power, status, triggers, etc. are communicated over the HSCAN. It's like a network.

Just make sure the DBALL is updated to the latest firmware via the XKLoader2. Read the entire manual for the DBALL and you should be good to go!

No question is stupid or not worth asking. You were once a noob, right? :)

Could you be more specific about which wires I can leave off the alarm? It looks like it can do a lot, but for my vehicle it will only send brake, handbrake, and ignition status to the alarm/rs.
