How would I use a relay to isolate my 2003 toyota Celica ignition 1 wire. I am installing a Viper 5704v and cannot figure out how to make the connections for the H3 harness Any help is appreciated. Thank You

With a 5704, you can connect the Celica's ( blue/red ) Ignition2 wire to the 5704 H3 Pink ( IGN1 ) wire and use the Flex relay for the
Celica's Ignition1 ( BLACK/ orange ) wire, following this DEI Tech Tip #1077 :   https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/file.asp?ID=1060
No extra external relay needed.    posted_image

Think we are doing this the slow way.  OK, here are the H3 wire connections :

1 PINK (+) IGNITION 1 INPUT/OUTPUT        blue/red  +  ignition harness  ***
2 RED / WHITE (30A) FUSED IGNITION 2      BLACK/ red (+)    ignition harness
3 ORANGE ACCESSORY OUTPUT gray  +  ignition harness
4 VIOLET (+) STARTER OUTPUT (CAR SIDE)          BLACK/ white  +  ignition harness  \
5 GREEN (+) STARTER INPUT (KEY SIDE) BLACK/ white  +  ignition harness  /   cut wire
6 RED (+) FUSED (30A) IGNITION 1 INPUT              BLACK/ red (+)  ignition harness
7 PINK/WHITE (+) IGNITION 2 / FLEX RELAY  **Car side    BLACK/ orange  +  ignition harness   \     as per TechTip 1077
8 PINK/BLACK FLEX RELAY INPUT 87A  **Key side            BLACK/ orange  +  ignition harness    /    cut wire
9 RED / BLACK FUSED (30A) ACC/STARTER INPUT            white  (+)   ignition harness

***Important note on the Celica Ignition2 Blue/Red wire from DEI :
There are 2 blue/red wires in the ignition harness. The correct ignition wire is the heavier gauge one
and it has 1 silver hash mark. The incorrect wire has 2 silver hash marks.

Obviously, you should use a Digital Multi Meter and test every wire before making your quality solder connection.

If this doesn't work, then it's your turn to type what connections are on the other Viper harnesses.  Then there is the Viper
programming, Tach Learn, NSS and if all else fails, the "Shutdown Diagnostics".

2 EMPTY NOT USED
3 GREEN (-) 500mA LOCK OUTPUT   ---- to Brown

I think some of my connections on the 24 pin harness may be wrong when i tried to use the alarm only unlock and lock work but will not remote start. The car is manual transmission and I connected the neutral safety wire to the only wire going to the e brake is that correct?
Also do you happen to know anything about setting up a relay to bypass the clutch so the car will remote start? Thank you in advance for the help

Ah, the old curve ball.  Manual transmission.

First the good news - the 5704 is a manual transmission safe R/S system, if installed properly.

The rest of the news :
1. You must run in Tach Mode.  This includes connecting to a good Tach source and doing a successful Tach Learn.
2. You must connect the door triggers in such a way to be able to monitor all the doors, hood & trunk.  This shouldn't be a big deal
because the 5704 is an alarm system and you should monitor all points of access anyway.
3.  The Neutral Safety Switch wire should go to the Parking Brake.
4.  You must find a way to bypass the clutch pedal starter interlock, only during a remote start.

Looks like you have most everything OK with the exception of the Trunk pin and adding the Passenger door pin to H2/6.  Here is
the info on the door and trunk trigger wires :
LF Latch  RED / YELLOW  (-)  IN DRIVERS DOOR PIN SWITCH HARNESS
RF Latch  RED  (-)  IN PASSENGER DOOR PIN SWITCH HARNESS
Trunk Trigger  LIGHT GREEN  (-)  AT SWITCH IN TRUNK or BCM
You will need two 1N4001 diodes for the door pins.  Here is a note from DEI :
To avoid dome light delay, use RED / yellow at the driver door pin for the driver door and red at the passenger door pin for the
passenger door. Isolate each door trigger with diodes, bands towards the Viper.

Make sure the Viper internal Parking Light jumper/fuse is set to (-).

As for the Parking Brake, you probably have the correct wire.  I can't find anything listed in the 3 sources I use.  Of course, the
right way to do it is to test.  DMM set to 20V DC, Red test lead on +12V constant, Black test lead on the Parking Brake wire.  With
the Parking Brake OFF, you should see 0V, put the Parking Brake ON and you should see +12V.

To remote start the Celica, you must first successfully enter into "Reservation Mode".  The Install Guide and Owners Manual
should have a full description of this process.  This will be the first hurdle to jump.  If it works OK, try this :  Enter into reservation
mode but stay in the car.  Depress the clutch pedal and try a remote start.  If everything else is OK, the car will start.  If it doesn't,
check the Shutdown diagnostics for the cause.

PM sent on clutch bypass...

Thanks for all the help
Im just curious, do i have to use any of the (-) ignition wires from the 24 pin harness?
I will try to make the connections again some time this week to see if it works

No, unless you wanted to use the (-) Starter Output for the Clutch Interlock.
