I installed a Crimestopper RS-4 and Omega OMDB-ALL on a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix. Several weeks ago. When it was installed the gauge cluster did not work after remote start once. It required aborting the remote start and restarting the car with the key for the gauge cluster to begin working. I rechecked the data wire and ignition wires, but could not find a problem, and could not re-create the symptom. I heard from the individual this week, and they explained to me that the gauges almost never work after remote start and half to restart the car with the key up to 8 times before the gauges work properly. I am hoping to fix this issue this weekend. Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks

Never experienced this but here is something to check concerning the vehicles' Pink Ignition1 wire.  Info from Bulldog Security.

NOTE #1: There are (2) PINK (+) wires that test as an Ignition wire, to test for the correct PINK IGNITION wire. Place the Key in the
Ignition Switch but do not turn to the ON position. Try the remote starter, if the KEY in the IGNITION CHIME turns on, you are
energizing the correct PINK Ignition wire.

Ready Remote also lists a BCM location for this wire as :
Ignition     Pink (+)       @ ignition switch or BCM left of streering column, 52 pin plug (C1), pin 22

Soldering is fun!

I am still having issues with this install. I double checked the ignition wire, and only found one wire that tested as ignition. I have the bypass hooked up in D2D, I am thinking of hooking it up W2W and seeing if this changes anything.

The only new information I have is that when the gauges do not work on remotes start I have trouble getting the gauges to work when starting with the key afterwards as well. I even disconnected the 12V to the remotes start and bypass but still had to start the car several times with the key to get the gauges to work.

Thanks For any suggestions!
