Its been awhile since I have installed one of these. What is the best settings for this?

Also, do you recommend installing a diode just incase it doesnt "falsely" trip the alarm?

Thanks.

It shouldn't need a diode at all.

The best way to test these is to install it to a hard surface that doesn't move (i.e. the steering column) and rock the car. You want to make sure the wind doesn't set it off. If a slight rock sets the alarm off, cut the black wire loop on the 507m. This will change the setting from the 1º threshold to 3º.

No question is stupid or not worth asking. You were once a noob, right? :)
