Hey guys,

Slamming head into the wall on this one and hoping for some help.

I've installed a Viper 5704 Alarm & DBALL2 using D2D mode. Everything has been wired as shown in the diagram on page 3:

I've also had to wire a few extra's; grounds, hood pin, siren, neutral safety, etc.

Everything works except the remote start. If I put the key in the ignition and turn it so that everything comes on but not far enough to start the car then hit the remote start it starts the car without an issue. Without the key everything turns on but the starter never engages.

So its definitely an issue with the DBALL2 not Immobilizing the Passlock2 system on the car allowing it to start.

I believe its wired exactly as it should be per the install documents and I've tried to program the keysense plenty of times. I'm thinking the install doc is not correct and a few wires need to be connected to the Passlock2 system but I cannot find any supporting documentation on this.

Anyone have any ideas to help me with my woes???

Are you able to lock/unlock the doors? If not, double check the violet / YELLOW wire at the OBDII connector.

When you remote start and it fails, do you get a blinking security light on the dash? If so, the DBALL hasn't learned the key correctly.

The (+)Starter on the remote start gets its +12V from one of the heavy gauge fused wires (Ignition1 input/output if I remember correctly) Check to see if this is hooked up and that the fuse isn't blown. I usually connect all 3 fused to +12V constant. These wires power relays in the remote start module, and if not connected, half the box is dead. Also, the starter wire from the remote start should be purple. If it's the green one, that may be your problem.

Thanks for the reply. Got me thinking and realized it sounded like one of the 12v for the remote start wasn't hooked up rather than the immobilizer having issues. Found I had hooked the 12v BLACK/ red to a wire that only had 12v when the key was in the ignition and turned. Must have left the key turned when testing that wire. :/
I hooked it up too a good 12v source and it remote starts like a charm.

Does the dball 2 fire up ur heated seats? I have a escalade and its not firing off the heated seats for me

Was your remote saying remote start error when you try to remote start your truck?
