i have a clifford arrow II alarm system, which i removed from my car due to some problems with it, but i was wondering if i can possibly use the blinking LED light off of the alarm to use as a blinking light on my dash ?
or would it be more simple to just buy one of those fake alarm blinking lights and just install that instead ?
my car was broken into and stereo stolen couple years ago, and i just recently got a new pioneer head unit, and was about to install it, but would feel a lot better having a blinking light on the dash that looks like an alarm, cause i've read that a lot of thieves pass up cars with blinking lights.
any help would be appreciated, thanks

The red LED from the Arrow is 2.5 volts you'd need about an 800 ohm resistor in series with the red input to make it work and it still wont flash.
Far simpler to get a 12V+ flashing LED and wire the + side to a constant the neg side to an ignition circuit so it shuts down when you turn on the ignition.
------------- Test before boxing up.
