What's up guys, I installed a remote start (4113 1-button) in a 1998 Lincoln Towncar. Everything works fine but when the car is started with the factory key the instrument cluster is all messed up.. It will show dashes (-------) in the place where the car mileage and estimated remaining miles would be and the ABS light comes on aswell. The only thing I wasn't sure of is the fact that there where a total of 6 12v source wires at the ignition (3x yellow 3x lt. GREEN/ purple)

I tested all wires to ensure they where all what they are supposed to be.

Any help is really appreciated. Thanks!

Something either isn't getting powered up or getting powered in the wrong sequence. Did you test all the wiring before connecting to it ?

12volts
      yellow
       +
      ignition harness

Starter      RED / lt. blue       +      ignition harness
Second Starter
Ignition      WHITE/ yellow       +      ignition harness
Second Ignition      pink/black       +      ignition harness
Third Ignition
Accessory      BLACK/ lt. green       +      ignition harness
Second Accessory      gray / YELLOW       +      ignition harness

There's a note for the second accessory

This wire must be powered as an accessory. If powered as a 2nd ignition the gauges will not function properly.

Also the odd thing is that the gauges work perfectly when the car is remote started. Only when starting with the key does it do this. And that second acc I used a relay triggered by the first acc to power that 2nd

I would check all your wiring both with the key and remote start. See if they match you could have pulled a wire out of a connector so now it doesn't get powered with the key but the remote start is tied in after the break and is able to power the wire

I think that's your problem you're getting feedback across those ACC wires.
Try this:-
H2 orange (-) ACC output to 85
30 amps fused to 86 and 87
2nd ACC from 30.
Diode 1N4004 across 86 and 85, band to 86.

Test before boxing up.
