any more information on this unit what by pass module is in it ? is it an is it an idatlink product such as ads-alca ? fortin evo all ? if the astro start remote has an lcd display l.c.d display it is likley a 5225 or 5224 model follow the big wires from the astrstart module to where they intersect with ignition and cut them off and tape up wires real good on ignition let me know what by pass it is and ill proceed. -------------

Thanks for the info. I'm a complete laymen for all this stuff and there's only one place in town that works on these and they're not providing much info. I believe its a idatlink but not sure, I'll find out when I get back to my vehicle. What about all of the other wiring connections? Do I leave those intact? My goal is to completely disable or disconnect the system from my vehicle like its not there anymore. Thank you for the info so far! Greatly appreciated!!

depending on the by pass you should be able trace wires to the connection and clip off there may be 1 wire that is cut in two with one wire from the bypassgoing to each cut end , that would need to be re connected.

Yeah its toast. Had a huge short go through system. I'm gonna head out to it after work tonight so I should be able to get more info. Do I retarce all the tiny little wires and cut those also? Really appreciate everything so far!!
